Attorney Alex S. Dunn Jr. is an experienced litigator and a native of New Orleans, born and raised in Algiers, Louisiana with strong ties to the community. Alex is graduate of Jesuit New Orleans and received his undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College majoring in Political Science and a minor in History. While in college participated in Immediately after his undergraduate studies he earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, LA, serving in student government and as a member of the Journal of Race, Gender and Poverty, writing on topics of school safety and international war crimes. While working In-House for a large construction and development firm Alex graduated with distinction from Purdue University with a certificate in mechanical, electrical and plumbing project management.
Having lived through the devastation that numerous storms have caused, Alex understands the importance of a vigorous, analytical and methodical approach to pursuing claims against bad faith actors on behalf of policyholders. Alex has represented clients all over of Louisiana and throughout the United States in property casualty claims, complex litigation, toxic torts, contracts and construction litigation. Additionally, Alex has experience project managing large development and construction projects throughout the region.
Alex is focused on serving others and helps clients navigate the often-complex area of property casualty and insurance law. When not working Alex enjoys spending time with his family and serving the community as a board member of Algiers Riverview Association and Save Our Urban Landscape (SOUL) having helped plant hundreds of native trees throughout Algiers, Louisiana. Alex is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association Diversity Committee and is a member of the American Association of Justice. Alex has also served his community as an Orleans Parish Elections commissioner and as Board Chair for Algiers Charter School Association and is an active member of the Jugs Social Club.
