David M Abdullah

David M. Abdullah is a seasoned trial attorney with over two decades of litigation experience in state and federal courts.

His practice is devoted to representing individuals who have been injured or wronged by powerful companies, institutions, and individuals. David brings a depth of experience and a courtroom-tested approach to personal injury, mass torts, catastrophic injury, and complex civil litigation.

Before joining Hair Shunnarah Trial Attorneys, David was a founding partner of a multi-state plaintiff’s firm, where he litigated complex civil matters including catastrophic injury, product liability, wrongful death, civil rights, and mass torts. He also operated a successful solo practice focused on personal injury, civil rights litigation, industrial accidents, contract disputes, and select criminal matters.

David has also gained valuable insight into defense strategy while serving as litigation counsel at two civil litigation firms representing major corporate clients in personal injury, transportation, toxic tort, and premises liability matters.

As a former prosecutor and seasoned trial lawyer, David has first-chaired numerous jury trials and has successfully litigated hundreds of cases from inception through verdict or resolution. His courtroom experience and strategic judgment give him a powerful edge in advocating for injured clients.

He frequently lectures on civil rights law and trial advocacy, and has served as a CLE instructor and featured speaker at professional and community events. His legal commentary has also been published in a local weekly news publication.

Committed to public service and advocacy, David has held leadership roles with nonprofit organizations, school boards, and community groups. He is a passionate and relentless advocate for justice, and he brings that dedication to every case he handles on behalf of his clients.

David is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western, and Middle Districts of Louisiana.
