Matthew Carlyon

Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Matthew Carlyon focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, legal ethics and insurance litigation. Matthew also has experience providing bankruptcy-related litigation assistance to diverse corporate entities, financial institutions, and Debtors.

Matthew served as assistant Bar counsel in the state of Nevada, where he prosecuted allegations of attorney misconduct before disciplinary panels and the Nevada Supreme Court.

Professional Leadership

Matthew is a member of the State Bars of Nevada and Illinois.

Community Leadership

As an instructor at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, Matthew taught free classes in small claims litigation.

He also served as a truancy judge for the Clark County Truancy Diversion Program where he served as a mentor to at-risk elementary and middle school students.

Matthew provides lectures on legal ethics for the National Business Institute.

Education

Matthew received a B.A. degree, with honors, in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago in 2008 and his J.D. from the Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2012.
